Description
Looking for "Assistant Manager R&D (Agronomist)" for our client based in Lahore. Key Responsibilities: Advise farmers on crop practices to improve quality as well as protect environmental sustainability. Evaluate new crop cultivators and their potential. Suggest processes to reduce food spoilage by proper storage parameters. Foster the use of best management practices for farming techniques. Provide technical direction for fruit/vegetable ripening. Monitor the effects of soil characteristics, water level and water drainage on plant growth and implement crop management practices. Work with producers to encourage soil testing and fruit/vegetable analysis to determine crop nutrient needs and watch fertility programs. 4 year degree in Agronomy or agriculture with 10-12 years work experience, 2-4 years of which should be with fruit/vegetables processors.
