Looking for a Deputy Manager – Legal & Compliance based at Karachi for one of oil and gas sector client.

The candidate will be required to serve as a point of contact for the business team in relation to providing them the legal support in the achievement of their business objectives. This role will assist GM- Legal & Compliance in legal risk management as well as ensuring compliance with the regulatory requirements.

Main Job Responsibilities:
Ensuring effective legal risk management (operational support);
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating all types of agreements with a view to ensuring effective legal control of agreements;
Managing external counsels on the outsourced matters and interact with the group lawyers working on the same transaction/matter.
Act as a business partner for legal assistance;
Managing legal proceedings and claims;
Organizing and maintaining legal documents in the database of legal, including the contracts management.
Prepare reports for the senior management as may be assigned by the line manager.

Education: (LLB) or (LLM)
Experience: At least 6 years of relevant work experience gained in-house in the legal department of a reputable group in Pakistan preferable in oil and gas sector.
