General Manager Environment Health & Safety is required in Islamabad for a leading Telecom. Eligibility: Bachelors with 10 years Experience in safety and health physics

Responsibilities:

• Inspects and evaluates the environment, equipment and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards.
• Defines safety standards in line with the industry and government regulations.
• Protects the employees, customers and the environment.
• Identifies potentially hazardous material which can affect the environment.
• Responsible for training of employees on subjects such as health, workplace safety, and other occupational and environmental topics.
• Recommend changes to protect and educate employees on how to prevent health problems through the use of safety training programs.
• Identifies causes and find ways to prevent them in the future.
• Gives Policy guidelines for judicious use of EHS standards.
• Understand and document compliance with national and international EHS standards.
• Work with departments to set and reach safety goals, including trainings etc.
• Prepares SOPs which are visible at prominent places.
• Deploy Fire extinguishers on each floor and maintenance of existing equipment.
• Inspect and assess work areas, equipment, and processes for safety.
