DEPARTMENT / PROGRAM: Kiran Sitara Program
REPORTING TO: Program Manager
NUMBER OF POSITION(S): 1
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time Contractual
LOCATION: Karachi, Pakistan
JOB PURPOSE
The incumbent will take the lead on designing, coordinating and implementing the monitoring and evaluation framework, data collection and reporting processes for the program.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will be responsible for the following;
A - Design
- Develop the overall framework for project M&E including indicators, baseline data, impact assessment and reporting tools
- Ensure that the M&E framework is aligned with the project work plan
- Assist the Program Manager in liaising closely with the external M&E resource to ensure that the framework is in line with the reporting and technical requirements of the donor.
- Imitate and complete the baseline validation in line with donor requirements
B - Implementation
- Ensure that data is collected at regular intervals to measure against process indicators
- Prepare and train field team members regarding M&E toolkits
- Maintain database to track field team progress by site
- Coordinate with project field supervisor to ensure that any obstacles to data collection are highlighted to the Program Manager without delay
- Closely examine quality of quantitative and qualitative data, to ensure that any discrepancies or issues are highlighted and addressed in a timely fashion
- Assist the project team in the implementation of data collection tools where required
- Develop case studies based on the qualitative data to document the successes and suggest areas of improvement or that need further attention
- Supervise data entry officers to ensure the timely recording of data collected
- Analyze project outputs at regular intervals, collaborating with Program Manager
- Prepare quarterly reports in line with reporting requirements of the donor
- Develop presentations and/or reports for internal reporting
- Documentation of lessons learnt and facilitate the learning forums
- Participation in planning and management forums
- Any other task assigned by the Program Manager
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA)
Required Qualification
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field including (but not limited to) Public Health, Social Sciences, Liberal Arts or Development Studies.
Required Experience
- 1 - 2 years of experiences
Required Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Fluency in English/Urdu (oral & written)
- Hands on experience of STATA & SPSS
- Attention to details
- Analytical Skills
