DEPARTMENT / PROGRAM: Pursukoon Zindagi - STAR

REPORTING TO: Assistant Manager Program

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Contractual

LOCATION: Karachi, Pakistan

JOB PURPOSE

The incumbent will be responsible to assist Assistant Manager Program in overall program implementation and carrying out research by collecting data through qualitative and quantitative techniques as well as analysis and presentation of data. S/he also act as supervisors for field workers and mobilize them to collect data.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with team on program implementation
  • Work with the team on development and implementation of research tools and analysis of data
  • Data Collection through qualitative (In-depth interviews and focus group) and quantitative (questionnaires/surveys) techniques
  • Coordinate and supervise field teams to ensure proper service delivery, data collection electronically and on paper
  • Coordination of tasks pertaining to data management and analysis, including but not limited to:
  • Maintaining MS Excel and OpenMRS databases
  • Assigning and designing monitoring tasks to ensure good data collection
  • Analyzing data using statistical packages (SPSS, Stata etc.)
  • Supervise and manage field workers and field activities
  • Establish relationships with community focal persons, political and social activists and different NGOs, etc.
  • Conduct literature reviews and provide support in writing research papers with the concerned manager
  • Filling out IRB (Internal Review Board) forms for approval of research proposals and prepare for IRB documentation
  • Responsible for petty cash for the project
  • Filing Payment Requisitions of the project
  • Hiring and training of field workers
  • Develop, generate and verify activity reports to be distributed within the team
  • Present weekly and monthly progress reports

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA)

Required Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree(s) in Public Health, Social Science, International Relations or another relevant field (A background in Psychology is Preferred).

Required Experience

  • 01 year experience

Required Skills

  • Familiar with both quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Computer Literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Fluency in English/Urdu (oral and written) will be strongly preferred
  • Hands on experience of STATA / SPSS
  • Data analysis skills
  • Attention to detail
