Work Experience
1- K-Electric (May 2012- To date)
(Formerly known as Karachi Electric Supply Company -KESC)
 Employed as a Trainee Engineer in May 2012.
 Completed my training comprises of 1 year in various Technical Department which includes:
o HT (High Tension) related to 11kV Network Operations Control Room.
o SSM (Substation Maintenance) department for maintenance and checking of faulty PMTs and Substation ranges from 15KVA – 1500KVA.
o UGM (Underground Maintenance) department for testing, repairing and jointing of underground cables of both 11kV and 440V ratings.
o LT (Low Tension) related to 440V network maintenance which includes Overhead conductors repairing, load balancing.
 Worked as a Shift Engineer in HT (High Tension) Operations - 11kV Control Room which solely deals with the monitoring, tripping, shutdown, back-feeding, load-balancing and maintenance of 11kV overhead and underground feeders and transformers in-between using wireless. In order to enhance the system, estimation and costing of new Projects and Schemes was also my Key Role.
 Currently working as an Assistant Manager having the following responsibilities :
o Corrective and Preventive maintenance of Networking System which includes maintenance of substations, transformers, underground cables and overhead conductors 11kV and 440V.
o Designing, installation and commissioning of System Improvement Proposals to enhance and stabilize network design and reduce Transmission and Distribution Losses.
o Working on Load Balancing Schemes, to avoid overloading on feeders and transformers.
 Key Assignment is the budgeting, estimation and costing of Projects and Schemes with the approximation of reduction in Technical Losses and increase in accuracy of system. Following projects are under my supervision :
o Conversion of old meters into digital static meters (industries and residential).
o Conversion of old conductors into Ariel Bundled Conductor (ABC) Cables.
o Addition of transformers in the System to reduce overloading.
o Ensure proper safety SOPs on site to avoid any incident.
o Initial load calculation and budget estimation of newly assigned projects.
o After commissioning, calculation of percentage improvement in system at different
periods.
 For these tasks, well equipped skilled teams are under my supervision.

2- General Electro-mecanique (Pvt.) Ltd (Dec 2011-April2012)
 Employed as a Site Engineer at General Electro-mecanique (Pvt.) Ltd in December 2011.
 Supervised the Aerial Bundle Conductor (ABC Cable) project at Thatta in January 2012 which
includes all the working of Distribution end, from PMT to the Consumer Side. For this, a well
equipped team was under my supervision.
 Worked on the project of Extension of 132kV grid station of Humayun (near Sukkur) in March
2012 in which another 132kV EHT conductor is to be dropped at additional 30 MVA Power
Transformer.
 Cabling work of Zong MSC (Main Switching Center) at Korangi Site, which includes all
connections between Panels, Transformer, Generators, Earthing pits and Lightening arrestors.
 Billing and Invoicing of Aerial Bundle Cable (ABC Cable) project at Thatta, Kotri and Hyderabad.
