BE Energy oil Terminal Sahiwal was the initial project where I have to oversee the project execution which start from the Planning, Execution, Controlling & Monitoring and successful Closing of the project. During this project, I was handling the chair of Project Manager where I was supervising the following development.
• Managing operation of Project Manager (Civil, Mechanical, E&I), which include the preparation of bids for upcoming projects.
• Handled a team of experienced Engineer/ Estimation engineer in preparation Bids, and budget for execution of the projects.
• Contributed a comprehensive construction expertise in the areas of planning, scheduling, drawing cost estimates, construction methods & procedures, and materials & quality standards.
• Closely controlling and monitoring the Project for Progress and Cost, Initiating action in case of any deviation from original plan with corrective actions
• Creating the report while closely monitoring the progress of the Project for Company management with all aspects.
• Responsible for setting up perfect coordination with all involved agencies – client, consultant, architect, vendors, site engineers, and subcontractor’s etc. - to eliminate bottlenecks and accelerate the pace of project implementation.
• Responsible for the Process/Approval of Technical Submittal, MIR, IR, RFI, ITP, NCR, Punch List, HOTO & IPC etc.

Ecolean, a global producer of lightweight packaging solutions for liquid food, as part of its continued growth strategy, announced its expansion plans with a new factory in Pakistan at Sundar Industrial Area Lahore. This Project Consist on Medium Voltage Generator, Medium & Low Voltage Panel with dry type transformer, Motor Centre control for HVAC, Chiller, AHU & different size of Bus Tie Duct to power up different size of packaging machine like Julklappen, Printing & Filling Machine. Total cost of the project more than 780 million PKR.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

PROJECT MANAGER
DESIGN & ENGINEERING SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION COMPANY PVT. LTD

➢ Bhalwal Industrial Estate is located 15 KM from M2 Motorway between Salem & Bhera Interchange. This project Consist on 11 kV Substation, 10 pad mounted transformer capacity of 500 kVA, 10 Ring Main Unit, Medium Voltage Cable direct buried 50 Km, Overhead transmission line approx. 42 Km & Low Voltage Cable approx. 50 Km for Power up to all area of Bhalwal Industrial estate & street lighting. Total cost of the project more than 450 million PKR.

➢ Expansion of Faisalabad International Airport. This project Consist on 11 kV substation, 2 Step down transformer 1500 kVA, Low Voltage Panel with 3 load sharing generator of capacity 500 kVA. We provide the complete system of Flight Inquiry Display System, CCTV, Public Address, and Fire alarm, Telephone, HVAC, Networking and Elevators & Escalators etc. Total cost of the project more than 1.50 billion PKR. Duration was 1.5 Year.

➢ Underground Electrification of Package 8B-1 (External Electrification & Telecom Works) Area Islamabad International Airport. This project Consist on 11 kV Cargo substation, 17 Kiosk Type Substation, 17 DG sets with ATS panels, 10 Ring Main Unit, Medium Voltage Cable direct buried 26 Km & Low Voltage Cable approx. 175 Km for Power up to all Security Watch towers & 118 Fence Lighting Pole. Total cost of the project more than 1.45 billion PKR. Duration was 6 months.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare the project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management.
• Prepare the project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.
• Review the project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
• Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
• Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
• Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
• Controls project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts.
• Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
• Erection, Installation, testing & Commissioning of High-Tension Switchboard, Transformer, Low Voltage Panel & related all work.
• Supervise the production of coordination drawings to ensure that all services are coordinated with each other and the building structure is complying with the contract requirements.
• Supervise all builders works drawings are comprehensive and discussed with the various engineers for the best implementation and installation of services in coordination with other parties and main contractor.
• Supervise the MEP work carried out is as per approved shop drawing and within the time frame and progress of the approved construction program.
• Supervise the installation, inspection and testing of all the MEP equipment, fittings, and work implemented meets the specification and the consultant requirements.
• Review consultant’s design and specification.
• Prepare the Technical submittal of different equipment to take the approval from the client.
• Develop the specifications for all equipment that is required for a project.
• Improve the standard of Quality Control / Quality Assurance.

Abraj Kudai Project (World Largest Hotel)
Electrical Lead Engineer (Field & Engineering)

Towering over the holy city of Makkah, Saudi Arabia, the Abraj Kudai hotel featured 10,000 rooms, 70 restaurants and four helipads. The project will cost around $4.5 billion. The mammoth hotel will be 45 stories high, made up of 12 towers standing on top of a 10storey podium. There is a shopping mall, food courts, a bus station and a huge ballroom to service the millions of people that converge on the city for the annual Hajj pilgrimage.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review Electrical Engineering layouts, plans, and specifications based on the national building code, NEC codes and RC (Royal Commission) standards.
• Supervise the production of co-ordination drawings to ensure that all services are coordinated with each other and the building structure is complying with the contract requirements.
• Supervise the all builders works drawings are comprehensive and discussed with the various engineers for the best implementation and installation of services in coordination with other parties and main contractor.
• Supervise the MEP work carried out is as per approved shop drawing and within the time frame and progress of the approved construction program.
• Prepare shop drawing & material submittals for consultant’s approval.
• Follow up the status of material and shop drawings and keep all parties informed of the status and follow up the implementation of the Clients comments in timely manner.
• Distribute detailed information, documents and regulations as applicable to all concerned parties and ensure their acknowledgement and adherence to its contents.
• To provide technical advice to construction team.
• Carry out site walks and inspection for service installation, identifying poor quality elements and advise construction team and MEP Manager.
• Provide Technical support and solve all Site technical issues to ensure completion of Projects within the stipulated time.
• At project close out co-ordinate the production of as built drawings to ensure they are delivered as per the contract requirements in terms of quality and time.

PROJECT: Combine Cycle Power Plant (PP10)-Riyadh (4600 MW)
CLIENT: Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) KSA
Electrical Lead Engineer (Field & Engineering)

The project target is to convert the Riyadh Power Plant 10 open cycle to combined cycle power plant, it consists of ten 130 MW steam turbine GE make with 40 Heat Recovery Steam Generator NEM make.

PROJECT: Combined Cycle Power Plant-Qurayyah (4600 MW)
Electrical Design Engineer (Field & Engineering)

The project target is to convert the Qurayyah open cycle power plant to combined cycle power plant, it consists of five 265 MW Steam Turbine GE make with 15 Heat Recovery Steam Generator DOOSAN make.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide technical support in design and development of electrical systems.
• Prepare the rules and guidelines for the management, integration and procurement of power and I&C cables;
• Prepare the technical specification and participates in the procurement contract tender process for external engineering support;
• Maintains a strong commitment to the implementation and perpetuation of the safety program, values and ethics;
• Prepare and review Electrical design for lighting system and small power distribution systems;
• Prepare materials take off for different electrical systems (cable tray, duct bank, lighting, fire alarm, small power systems, grounding, public address, etc...
• Makes voltage drop calculations, short circuit calculation, cables sizing UPS Load Calculation, battery bank, battery charger, CT & VT Calculation;
• Check vendor supplied drawings and/or information and coordinate transfer into project drawings;
• Review protection and control system for the transformers, motors and switchgears;
• Review design of fire alarm, Public address, HVAC BMS, systems in plant a materials takeoff for the same systems;
• Design, specify, install and troubleshoot industrial electrical, power distribution, and instrumentation control systems for projects;
• Review, support, and maintain GE DCS and PLC control systems including the configuration database, controller and operations descriptions, coding, display layouts, simulations, and hardware;
• Monitors and upgrades Electrical, Instrumentation and Process Control infrastructure;
• Design, specify, install and troubleshoot industrial electrical, power distribution, and instrumentation control systems for projects;
• Provide high-quality design, scope, and cost/schedule estimates including P&IDs, and equipment drawings and specifications;
• Perform the project management function for the execution of small and mid-size capital projects;
• Lead the commissioning activities during plant startup including preparing documents (engineering);
• Identifies and justify new technology / new designs that will add value to ongoing operations;
• Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment as per the PTS;
• Review the electrical drawings for the medium and low voltage switchgear, transformers, and different low current system;
• Supervision the Installation of Equipment, Commissioning Procedure & operation;
• Support Operations as required to achieve Safety, Quality, and Productivity, Service, and Cost objectives for the Facility;
• Initiate, develop, justify, plan, implement, and turn over to Operations capital improvement projects;
• Manage and resolve the technical queries raised by construction site;
• Coordinates electrical and other related contracted work;
• Provide advice and consultancy support
• Assist Engineering manager;
• Reply on Site Engineers queries and do the necessary design changes as per site conditions;
• Manage and close engineering punch list items
